My Everyday Foundation

I thought i'd do a nice little post just to show you all what foundation and brush I use on a daily basis! I tend to stick to using the same foundation products for the everyday look for quite some time until I decide I want to change it up and venture out and try new things - so i thought this would be an easy way to show you what I'm currently using and loving.

Now ALL three of these items are actually very new to me, I've only been using them now for around 3 weeks now and I have fallen in love with them and they all make the perfect team. I feel my face looks very fresh with a great coverage but definitely not cakey at all, which I love and can actually be difficult to find that foundation that will give you exactly what you want but I now have found it using these products together..

For application I tend to use the Urban Decay naked skin foundation first and then use the Mac studio fix foundation on top - I don't use concealer when using these together as I find I don't actually need the extra coverage as together they give a really nice flawless complexion.

What are you favourite everyday foundations?

Dirty Looks Full Head Triple Weft Hair Extensions Review

Before I begin I just want to point out I did infact dye my hair extensions and so the colour they are now is just from a box dye!

Honestly, I am so obsessed with hair extensions - I hate being without them, they are a god sent and when I came across these extensions I was soo excited to try them! I have tried many extensions over the past couple of years but at the moment these are currently at the top of my favourites list, I would 100% recommended these if you're starting out with extensions it would put you on the best track for the natural look as the quality is amazing, I know a lot of people will start using a cheaper alternative but then just go off using hair extensions completely because they go frizzy as soon as you apply heat or brush them or anything really aha and its just not great and its regretful (trust me I know).. But with these you will be a lot more pleased with your results.

I received my hair extensions in a cute little double pouch which I think was the cleverest idea I have seen.. Other extensions I have ever bought always been ones in the long pack so its the length of the extensions, which is quite an awkward shape - definitely loved this packaging as it was small and an easy fit for the letter box! As it is a double pouch, they actually provide you with a sample piece which is separate from your full head of extensions, so you can take a look at the length and colour etc. before actually opening the other side in case it is a wrong match and you need to send it back, so its perfect for hygiene reasons also.

The colour I went for was 'California highlights' in length 20-22 inches, reason I went for this was because at the time I was actually dying my hair blonde but didn't end up liking the colour on me so I went back to a light brown which I am very very happy with! I was really impressed when browsing the website as there is such a wide range of different colours you can chose from, so I definitely think there would be something for everyone! I was obsessed with the highlighted colours as I thought it was such a good idea, to have the sort of mixed shades I find it makes it looks alot more realistic and natural against your hair rather than going down completely into one whole shade -really helps to blend them in.

The greatest thing about these extensions is the quality - they're perfect, I couldn't be happier they feel amazing and even after applying heat as I wanted to curl them they still felt amazing,. good as new! Hopefully they last me a long time and I really think they will, I know I will be purchasing again at some point when I need new ones as I am so impressed with the quality and thickness as I got the triple weft so they are that much thicker, this meaning they are triple the thickness of one singular hair piece. I am not a big fan of getting hair extensions that are thin as I think they stick out a lot next to your own hair and makes them obvious but the thickness with these blends in really well with my hair and hides nicely within them!

When I was dying my hair extensions I was so so scared they was going to turn out patchy and completely ruin the extensions but they actually turned out really well, I was so happy with them! The quality still feels amazing and they look good as new :-)

I am always interested trying new hair extensions, let me know your favourites!

Benefit Browzings

Hi girlies! The Benefit Browzings has been a favourite eyebrow 'tool' for a while now ever since I had discovered it in one of the eyeshadow sets by Benefit which even though there was only a small amount of it, it lasted me such a long time as I still use that eyeshadow set and there is still plenty of the eyebrow wax left. After ALMOST running out I decided I'd order the actual product itself as you can see above!

Of course before even buying it at least I happily know I already love it. It is super easy to use which is probably one of the main reasons I adore it, as I use the hard angle brush to simply sweep across my eyebrow and it really doesn't get anymore difficult than that because personally I used to be so touchy when using eyebrow pencils as they are more prone to make a mess from pressing on to hard, not having a steady hand etc. so I found this pretty ideal for me.

I got this is 'light' as I have blonde hair so personally I don't want majorly dark brown eyebrows, I enjoy them to be a more lighter colour because it works together  much better rather than having almost black huge scouse brows - that for me is a big no! But also this time as this contains the powder which you apply on top in order for the wax to stay longer so I am hoping this will work well as honestly I did notice that sometimes the wax could wear off throughout the day quite a bit.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation Review

I have been scouring the internet reading reviews on many foundations, as I have been looking for a new foundation that has a good coverage and stays on long! And yes I finally managed to find the perfect one. This foundation is available in 30 shades, so I'm sure it will be ideal for everyone to find something that matches them well as a lot of foundations will usually only have a few basic shades, but this should pretty much cover everyone. My shade is 2N1 Desert Beige.

The foundation defiantly does not lie when it says 'Stay-in-Place' as it defiantly does, for me this is ideal and I'm sure for anyone else it would be too, it's so much easier not having to reapply through out the day as you see your makeup wearing off but with this it looks exactly the same and this really did honestly surprise me. Like I mentioned I was looking for a good coverage foundation, well this one defiantly gives a full coverage which is perfect preferably for me at the 'girly time of month' as that's when I find I break out most and feel bleurgh about my skin! Something people may not be too keen on is that it is a very matte finish and this isn't always to everyone's taste but I actually find it looks really good on my skin and doesn't appear cakey.

Overall I really like this foundation at the moment and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for a full coverage, long lasting throughout the day foundation!

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment Review

"If the earths not nourished you'll never grow beautiful flowers."

I had been searching google for like ages trying to find ways that I could grow my hair more quicker and I had seen a couple of reviews already about the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment, so I decided I'd give it a go and see how it works me. Some people actually didn't get the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner  but I decided I would because every little helps!

To use this product you are to use it in between using the shampoo and conditioner and leave the treatment on for 5 minutes but I actually left it on for 15 - 20 minutes, I just figured that if its left on for longer the most it could do is maybe help more or do nothing at all during my extra time added, so no harm done. On the tub it recommends you to use an egg size amount, I personally found that the quantity of what was in the tub was not quite enough because I ran out quite fast and I think with this sort of thing an egg size is quite a lot!

What the tub says:

"Protein based complex to fertilize your follicles, creating a healthy environment on the scalp to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum length"
  • Vital hair and scalp complex helps to reduce hair loss
  • Improves follicle health which in turn increases the ability of the hair to anchor to the scalp
  • Soothing formulation reduces irritation and moisturizes the scalp
  • Addresses hair and scalp ageing at a cellular level
  • Improvement in tensile strength to give body and texture by penetrating the hair reaching the inner cortex
  • Improves volume and fell of the hair

I really love these products the shampoo, conditioner and treatment and will defiantly be buying more once I run out as unfortunately I have already ran out off the treatment, so just waiting on the shampoo and conditioner. The products smell absolutely amazing on my hair and the smell even stays afterwards - I am in love with it, my hair always feels really healthy, silky and smooth also. I am actually really happy to say that I have noticed a difference with the length of my hair, I defiantly think it's grown, obviously dramatically but defiantly has grown and so it's helped!

The Body Shop Mango and Sweet Lemon Body Butters

I had recently decided that I wanted to try some new body moisturizers, just to try something different and experiment. I had seen a couple of reviews on The Body Shop Body Butters and thought I'd give them a go, so I decided I would buy the Sweet Lemon Body Butter and the Mango Body Butter!

I was really pleased with these purchases and actually didn't expect them to be as good as they are. They are really nice and hydrating to the skin and you're not left waiting around for ages with that sticky feeling waiting for it to sink in like with most, also I would defiantly agree that with these that a little goes a long way.

Multiple Foundations Reviews | Dior, MAC & Clinique..

I decided that I would pull 3 branded foundations together and review them in order to see which is possibly most best and hopefully this could also help anyone else who may be trying to pick out a good branded foundation that will be worth their money! The 3 foundations I am doing this on are the Dior DiorSkin Forever Foundation, MAC Mineralize SatinFinish SPF 15 and Clinique Superbalanced foundation.

Dior DiorSkin Forever Flawless Perfection Foundation in 023 (£31.00) -  It is a light-medium coverage and blends really easily on the face as it becomes more of a creamy formula when being rubbed in, also it sets nicely and doesn't look cakey at all. I find that this foundation gives you a very natural look and would work on people really well who have quite clear skin, so for me I would need a bit more coverage, but on a good day I find this a really nice foundation as like I mentioned it looks very natural and healthy.

MAC Mineralize SatinFinish SPF 15 in NW25 (£24.00) - When buying this foundation, there was defiantly trouble! The shop assistant had matched up my skin tone and gave me NW25 which quite clearly is too dark for me, so I was very unhappy about this as I felt like I just wasted my money. Anyway I still find this foundation got even worse, when applying it, it sets really quickly on the skin so you barely get to blend it in and so it just clumps on the face like a dried up cheap foundation. I was really disappointed with this as it was my first MAC foundation try and it ended badly and pretty much a waste of money! A MAC foundation that I shall be hopefully purchasing soon will be the MAC studio sculpt SPF 15 foundation, as I have heard good things about this and can not wait to try it, maybe I will have hope with this, so look forward to a review on that!

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup Foundation in 03 ivory (£21.50) - This is one of my favourite foundations, I have been using it for so so so long, I always have this foundation at the ready again for whenever I run out. It offers a full coverage look, and at the same time it is really natural looking and does not look cakey. It blends in really easily and stays on for very long in the day, I never feel like I need a touch up with this foundation, honestly! Although the only fault about this foundation would be that in the heat I find that it comes out quite easily which isn't really useful for on hot summer days, for this foundations luck though with the english weather its not really that hot much but I would not use this if you wanted a foundation to take on holiday with you. Also this foundation matches my skin really well!
